Grey Ogre

In essence the Grey Ogre is very musch like his cousin the Ogre only thicker in build and pale to dark grey in color. Although they grow hair it is very common for males and femals alike to shave their heads or cut hair to leave a single tail, mohawk, or other design.

Combat: Much more military than normal Ogres the Grey Ogres will attack with more cunning and strategy. They often construct Catapults, Ballistas, or other advanced weapons. They will attack with missile weapons before closing to melee. They prefer Battle Axes, Spears, and large maces gaining +6 to damage due to their incredible strength. Once in Melee they attack ferociously and yet intelligently. They often use shields and improved armor to help increase their defense. Their thick bone structure and tough fibrous muscle tissue gives them a natural AC of 5, but its common to have armor on top of this thus reducing the AC to 4 or 3.

Habitat/Society: The Grey Ogre Society is very military. The Males and Females fight as equals on the field of battle. In the tribe they are ruled by a General known as a Khan. The Khan (8 or more HD Grey Ogre) will be served by 2-4 Vor Khans all of which have a strict chain of command as to assure smooth transition from one rank to the next. While they have a much more ordered existance than the standard Ogre occasionally physical disputes errupt and are settled in non-lethal combat to determine the superior. While females can reach the rank of Vor Khan or even Khan, those that due are indeed rare as biology still makes the males physically superior.

Ecology: While Grey Ogres have the ability to cultivate the lands or raise livestock they prefer to enslave others and have them do such inglorious work. They prefer to pillage neighbors or hire out as mercenaries.
