The Fire Bear has all the features of a bear, except it is made of fire. It doesn't look like a bear on fire, it looks like a fire in the shape of a bear. Combat: Whenever a Fire Bear feels in danger, etc., sees someone, he uses his natural attack of fireball(12d6 1/turn). He then goes into melee and attacks ferociously with his claws(1d6x2) and his bite(2d6). The Fire Bear can only be hit by +2 or better magical weapons and when a normal weapon is used against it, it must save vs. disentigration or be rendered unusuable. Whenever he lands both claw attacks in the same round, he has succeeded in putting you in his bear hug(3d6) for as many rounds possible unless distracted, by large amounts of damage, sees that his family is in danger, or he dies. Whenever anyone gets close enough to engage in melee, except with a polearm, in each round the attack or do anything they suffer 1d6 points of damage. This also applies for if the bear attacks you. The bearhug doubles this heat damage. The Fire Bear gets +1/+1 when defending one of his cubs, +2/+2 when defending his spouse, and +3/+3 when defending both his cub(s), his spouse and his lair. |
Habitat/Society: The Fire Bear has the basic lifestyle of normal bears except for the male stays with the female and is very defensive of her and the cubs. Ecology: The Fire Bear is immune to fire damage, matter of fact, for every damdice of fire damage done to the Fire Bear, it recieves 1 hp. It also regenerates at the rate of 1 hp/turn while being in air. The fire bear does not require sustenance for it is as a normal fire, except it doesn't need material, all it needs is air. Breathing spells do not work on this creature and it gets a save towards all polymorph spells and spell=like abilities. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
