The Fell Guardians are magically animated warriors created by a 8th level wizard spell, or a 6th level preist spell. Their entire purpose is to protect the remains of sacred individuals who have greatly pleased their patron diety. The area they inhabit is usually one of great peace and tranquility, and one is best advised to leave the guardians to their task. Combat: The Fell Guardians fight with magic weapons of +1 to +3 enchantment. They also wear black steel plate, which has an enchantment of animation placed upon it. Any person wearing this armor must immediatly save vs. death or instantly lose his/her soul in the depth of all the past inhabitants of the sacred armor. If the save is successful the character will witness the visage of the negative material plane, and will, for the rest of their existance, never desire to wear the armor, or any even remotely like it, again. If destroyed the guardians will curse its destroyer, who immediatly drops to half of his/her previous level, round down. |
Habitat/Society: non Ecology: The guardians protect the sacred dead. Without them these persons may find their tomb robbed, their body rifled. The guardians should be used to lead into or out of an adventure, but should never be used as a combat encounter. The DM should use every device in his power to deter the players from engaging the players. If the players do engage the guardians then let them learn that not all that looks evil in the world is. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
