Dragon, Primal

The primal dragons existed before a great cataclisam on a small forrgoten world. some escaped the destruction by planar travel, others by sheer accident. the creatures appear as a huge blue dragon three times the size of a red of appropraite age. the creatures are very intimadating to a unsuspecting individal. the horns of the dragon seem to glow with a soft red light. females are smaller than males and never as scarred as the male.

Combat: The males will dive into combat with out reserve as they are none too bright, and just enjoy sheer destruction. If pressed or over matched the male may berserk( same as the fighter kit only double bonuses) or breath a gout of superheated fire and magma. the breath weapon corrasponds to a red's. Females pefer to cast spells or breath, they rerely enter physical combat if they can avoid it. Most would prefer to talk and learn of the world they are in. Females cast spells as a 25 lvl wizard and 15 lvl preist. The males have a high resistance to magic 95%; females have only a 65% resistance to spells.

Habitat/Society: Males and females rarely come in contact with one another due to the males stupidity and desire to destroy all creatures not larger than themselves. Females will tolerate a male only for the week they will spend mating, then the female drives the male away. The female will rear any youg alone, and is even fircer in protecting them than a male in a battlecrazed mood. The primal dragons prefer to lair in desoletated and mountainous regions. The males pick high unclimable areas to lair then stock it with horrible creatures to guard and soften up any intruders. Females usr\e their magic to lace their lair with many deadly traps and spell effects. Young are rare as the breed is fading from glory and are allowed to stay with their mother till they are very young then are turned out.

Ecology: The primal dragon will quickly become the top creature in a area. The creatures will eat almost any thing they can, males perfer humoniod flesh most. Females have a more refined taste though and eat almost anything a discriminating elf would. Females will eat anthing they can if food becomes scarce. Males and females hate all other dragons with a deep pasion. They see them as weak and poor copies of themselves, both primals will kill anyother dragon on sight. This is probably why the males are so few they attack stronger dragons than they can defeat.
