Dragon, Mercury |

|
At birth, mercury dragons resemble silver dragons greatly, they are barely reflective and are of a bluish/grey/silver color. As they grow, their hyde becomes more reflective to the point where every surface of the dragon is a highly polished mirror. Regardless of their age, the inside of their wings is always highly reflective, and they use this as a natural defense. Combat: Mercury dragons are very fickle about engaging in combat, due to their chaotic nature. They may simply choose to ignore such situations or dive into them full force. They'll try anything in battle once, until they see it fails. Their claws strike as though they were +2 weapons. Their breath weapon is a beam of light, super-heated that deals 2d8 at hatchling level and gains 2d8/age category of the dragon. When they spread their wings toward their target, they become blinded for 2d4 rounds from the intense light. |
Habitat/Society:
As per most dragons, this variety has a chance at birth to be able to learn and speak humanoid languages. (50%) However, few of them ever encounter humans (and such) long enough to learn a language.
Ecology: Their hyde at greater ages is of a high enough reflective quality to support the material requirements for things such as Magic Mirror. (tm)(req's 10,000 gp mirror) So the primary people seeking them would be mages, willing to pay adventurers kindly for the hyde. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
