The Andeglion is a vicious, intelligent, apex-predator. Adults range in length from 70 to 85 feet. They have six legs, two of which are useable in combat, a pair of sharp horns, and a long tail tipped with a poisonous stinger. They are typically a mottled reddish-brown with yallowed horns and claws. Combat: Andeglions attack with a claw/claw/bite/horn/horn/tail routine. Their claws do 2d8 dmg each, their bite does 4d4, their horns do 1d12 each, and their stinger inflicts 2d4 dmg plus the effects of poison type "E". As they are very intelligent (10-12), Andeglions will use their superior mountain mobility to outmaneuver their foes and often force them into perilous situations to enhance their hunting pleasure. |
Habitat/Society: Andeglions are typically loners and only congregate to breed, an event that occurs every other year or so. The parents abandon the offspring as soon as they can fend for themselves, which is around one month. Young are considered to have half of the hit dice and half of the damage potential of adults until they are full grown, a process which takes about 18 months. Andeglions live for 30 years. Ecology: Andeglions hold little value to adventurers except as potential sources of treasure. They are bitter enemies of both red and silver dragons, with whom they often share territory. Bloody battles are often fought between andeglions and dragons, but only adult or foolhardy young dragons consider attacking a full-grown andeglion because of the amount of damage that the andeglion can dish out. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
